Indeed, I don't know why there is such a fuss about it. It's not like the pricing is super shady, it just shows a small range like £12 - £15, to take into account irregularities in traffic.

Here in London Uber has been showing a flexible price range for as long as I remember and people don't seem reluctant to use them. If it shows £15-£18 I just assume the higher end, it's not like I don't know the price ceiling

How would you detect if something is a cookie dialog in a standardized way? It's pretty much impossible as all of them are custom code with different layouts / selectors / sequence of actions you need to take to opt out.

That's a problem with the npm ecosystem. React is just so, so much nicer to work with. It's easy to be dismissive if you've never had to develop UIs with jQuery and didn't experience yourself the transition to React whic

I didn't know this, I was just trying out the project because it seemed interesting. If they can get the bundle sizes down it looks like it could be a great developer experience.

Auth0 quoted us 25 - 50k a year for 7K MAU, we found this insanely high as we don't handle any sensitive data. It seems we might use Amazon Cognito, which seems a bit rough / neglected when it comes to aws products but the differe

What's up with this glorification of Win95 style UI? It's objectively ugly. Everyone I know or have known, in my entire life, without question, thought so back then, and does so now. I am just so, so puzzled by this I had to type

See this is one of the things I personally hate, accessing or evaluating properties on objects using a string. We have code so use code which can be parsed, evaluated by the type checker, and so on. What if you mistype 'fop' inste

I never understood the point of Ramda. It's like it's trying to replace the core functionality of JS with something that's completely orthogonal to what the language actually is, but it's just a bolted on library. I'
