Why do so many people only consider Emacs and Vim for programming? There are a plethora of IDEs that have way more features out of the box and even have plugins to make them compatible with Vim and Emacs usage so the switching cost is almos

I'm not arguing for or against the executive order. It's just a very recent and big example of news organizations shaping how the population thinks. Every news organization is spinning this to fit their narrative.

I'm not arguing to remove all interpretation from the facts. That's impossible with our language. But what we are experiencing from the news every single day is a far cry from objective journalism. We are almost only getting the i

> The problem is not "fake news". The problem is people are treating the news like a product in the capitalist paradigm. I would say a huge part of the problem is that news is no longer news. It's all commentary. News orga

You get to take the actual classes but you don't get real credit for them. Recruiters, hiring managers don't care because it's not a real degree and they have no knowledge of the program. If you just want the knowledge you ca

And if you are not creating anything related to your work. Like if you work at a game company and you make a game on your own time with your own equipment, the game company you work for can claim your work as their own.

I hope I'm not the only one but I really dislike interactive VR. I really don't like being forced to move around to get a full experience. I know it can be fun but I would rather just sit there and use a controller. I would howeve

I don't know if it is a lack of want but there is definitely a small pool of capable women. Women are on average significantly weaker and smaller than men so the pool of women who are as capable to perform hard physical tasks is very s
