This is not talking about index funds. You would not call out a specific stock inside an index fund in a disclosure like this. You could figure it out, bit it's just simply not considered a conflict of interest.

Your examples are awful. Liberals, if there was such a thing as a monolithic block, are the ones that want to use government resources to combat people using dirty needles, and want to provide shelters for the homeless. Some conservatives

Is there any reason to think they will start strictly enforcing it? One ruling confirm an already existing law doesn't seem like a watershed moment to me until we see it changing the way companies are prosecuted for their behavior.

I mean sure, but most of the time Comp Sci degrees have Freshman compiling code on day one. This is a pretty be qualitative difference if the above comment is true.

There are plenty of institutions that do this already. Dictionaries, University English departments, other academic institutions. I don't see why having a single centralized office to do this would be better, especially with a langua

But this would still present an environmental pressure, which would drive evolutionary change. Maybe not this specific gene, but if the environment is driving changes to our anatomy, it will drive changes in to reproductive fit. Maybe not

What do you mean by environmental factors? The environment drives evolution, so changes in the environment would change who survives, which would lead to evolution. If it is an environmental factor that led to selection of individuals hav

Currently, the best science says if you had COVID you should still get the vaccine. The CDC and all of the evidence points to that. This isn't close. This isn't like, what happens if you fall into a black hole, where there are

How do you weigh that against the long tail of a COVID infection having long term effects? We already have evidence of that, and zero evidence of that with the vaccine.

"Pro-vaccine faction" sure sounds like a loaded term. Look, the CDC says if you were infected, you should still get the vaccine because it gives additional protections. This paper says the same. The vaccine is extremely safe fr

There is very little risk to the mRNA vaccine. So, what do you mean "warrant exposure to 50 Billion copies if mRNA." This is just trying to throw out a big number to sound scary, but in fact tells you nothing about the risks.

We really need to be careful making claims like that. There is no evidence this is true and there is evidence that getting a vaccine gives additional protections even if you already had COVID. https://www.cdc.gov/media/

Historically, not really. It was the norm for people leading the fighting to be some sort of elite. Think the nobility in middle ages Europe, the Spartans' control over the way more numerous Helots, the caste system of India, and the

Surely there is some sort of acknowledgement of an elite class in societies that have disproportionate power. For example, the Spartans over the Helots, the planter class of Antebellum American South, the caste system of India, etc.
