Every time someone tries to manipulate the government into legislating them out of obsolescence, I am equal parts amused and disgusted.

Having worked at Microsoft (which I pretty much only have nice things to say about - it was a great environment in many ways) and now being at Google, I have to say that they feel very very different. I feel like I have far more ability to

Google swag usually isn't primarily in Google colors. I have a jacket which is black with a small red "Geo NYC" logo on the breast...and a t-shirt which is black with the Google logo on it in the normal colors. Neither looks clownish.

It would also be interesting to have these clustered by unlabeled industry and try to guess the industry.

How many tech companies have you interviewed with? I've never seen one, big company or tiny startup, that doesn't ask you to write code by hand in the interview.

My experience: I went from 22% bodyfat to 12% in 4-5 months of archevore. I didn't do the diet to lose weight; that was just a nice side benefit (and the most noticeable/measurable effect). My exercise was consistently low over this peri

Okay, I oversimplified - but you are doing so as well. Societies as a whole can become wealthier over time. The difference between the 90th percentile and the 10th might be higher today than it was 200 years ago, but the 10th percentile t

Inequality is only bad inasmuch as populists use it to rile people up. Let's say I have $100 and you have $50. Then someone gives me another $100 and gives you $5. Inequality has increased, but is the situation worse? Is anyone worse of

I can't compare to SV, but I wouldn't say there's a lack of camaraderie among NYC startups. Apartments - check out http://padmapper.com for data. Chances are you'll be spending between $800 (in places like Astoria) up to $2400 (in nicer

You can't even get a scout worker to your opponent's base before they're up to 9-10 workers or more on most maps. Anyway, killing one worker of 6 is 17% of someone's economy, not 1%.

The game is played at a high level, sure, but I'd call this a slight exaggeration. 1% of a player's income is less than a single worker even in the late game (when most players have around 70 workers), and a single worker kill never really
