Wake up between 11:00 and 12:30, arrive at work (Google NYC) by 1:30 or so, leave by 8:30ish (later when I have a good reason), get home, have dinner with my wife if I made it home by 8:00, kiss her goodnight, and take over watching my thre

At least if you work for Google (as I do), comp growth seems to stay ahead of costs if your lifestyle doesn't change too much. But if you want to get married and have a kid (and live in a two-bedroom apartment) it starts feeling prett

Being deaf is an objective, unambiguous disability. I don't think the same is true of being black, even if it correlates negatively with certain metrics.

How much of that is about the hardware vs. the software? How much of the positive experience would be preserved if you ran the same software on a Surface Pro 3 and just cast the screen to a large monitor?

My vesting schedule is quarterly, at least for most of it. It wouldn't be a big deal to stick around an extra month or two to wait for that, if that was how I felt.

Yes, you can make me think about pink elephants (though I'm not convinced you can make me associate them with a warm fuzzy feeling). But you can't change my values or my memories by writing me a paragraph like that. You could if

I upvoted you to try to bring you out of the gray because I think you're making a useful point (though I don't think your tone is effective, which is probably why you got downvoted). Write access to minds is, uh, pretty serious.
