In either case, it is still big news.

Is it me or this post has LLM vibes?

Looks really cool. That said, I'm trying to wrap my head around how projects like do work via wasm, given that wasm has so few types (numbers, arrays) and no I/O or system interface. I'm definitely missing something.

Where would you suggest someone starts for building something like this. What kind of hardware would you suggest (preferably something with Rust!bindings). Is the one used in the original post a good starting point? I've minimal to no

Where would you suggest someone starts if they want to get into this stuff? Start writing an emulator? Which one would you recommend?

Don't know why you're downvoted, this seems a pretty accurate take to me. It seems most of us in the West are mostly incapable of self-criticism and have been fed so much propaganda that we forgot how to see through all the bull**

Since NVMe nodes are ephemeral on GCP, would you suggest SaaS with critical customer data to use Metal or persistent disks?

Kinda off-topic but do you see any value in a (rust) library that does only the binary decoding part + validation?

Oh no, right after I started writing a binary decoder for 2.0. Does anybody know how much this changes things as far as a decoder is concerned?

What took them so long? Honest question. I'd expect nginx to have this years ago. Is that so hard to implement for some reason?

Side: The 15.05 firmware upgrade is causing severe battery drain in some models. From 8 days battery life it got down to 1. Multiple reports can be found here[1]. Support's response is "go to your region-local support shop".

I'd love something like this for other programming language communities as well

Kinda related: sending a SIGSTOP to your datastore is a nice way to discover one of the failure modes of your architecture. (Use SIGCONT to make the server continue.)

What is the way to use this agentic stuff with neovim? Do I have to resort to OpenAI's Codex or a nvim plugin is sufficient? Or Claude Code?

So hyped for this release, since it will result in nice bugfixes (autorandr, Polybar) and me simplifying my dotfiles. Many thanks to all Debian developers!

Hang in there for Trixie. Some things should be better there, especially around WINE performance, cause of the upgraded kernel

I was wondering the same when configuring Polybar w/ i3 to show seconds on my Linux system. Even if it's marginal, I think I'll disable it.
