Redux is the closest infrastructure that enables this stuff. The time travel aspects at least. Hot code reloading has definitely gone mainstream and if you look at a lot of the popular ones and trace their influences, many mention inspirati

I think patterns of developmental and good tooling make it scale up at least in utility to larger projects. Worse case use the workbench analogy like the clojurescript oriented devcards project where you check in playground style simple env

My take away was that we need to work towards converging efforts rather than diverging and causing constant fragmentation and lost effort. It being easy to deploy is a good thing, but people need to try to reduce noise and fix existing good

This is their opening line: "OpenAI’s mission is to build safe AI, and ensure AI's benefits are as widely and evenly distributed as possible." Real AI isn't coming anytime soon, so it's better to focus on the market

I love that Smart Contracts act basically as bug bounties to make the Ethereum systems, community knowledge, and open contracts improve dramatically.

I'm an ex game engine developer and I bristle anytime anyone thinks any existing functional language is better for multicore. Specifically garbage collection alone will make any language an order of magnitude slower generally per a sin

I had the same issue on my Mac. Ended up buying Boom 2 to boost the volume. I wouldn't have just for one talk, but it's been happening a lot lately where I find content volume to be too low.

I looked up John's net worth. Apparently it's 40M. That surprises me, I would have thought given his involvement in the success of putting Oculus on the map that he would have made out way better from the Facebook acquisition.
