I wouldn't be so fast. Lots of people want to be professors, way more people than there are viable jobs. Some of the interviews bring out that point.

This is a huge. It's so easy to make mistakes doing those computations by hand, but Wolfram Alpha handles it with ease. I use it all the time.

"It's a solved problem"? I'm not sure what that even means. There are algorithms for finding solutions, and if you have enough time and storage space, you can solve it. In any case, the problem more likely to be used in delivery is the VRP

I got hired for my current internship in the same sort of way. I loved the company, and emailed one of the VPs telling him how much I wanted to work for him. Probably doesn't work every time, but it's worth a shot.
