We sold Kiko on eBay for $250k, which is around the neighborhood you'd want. The issue is that for that to work, you need to get a lot of attention. Since you have real revenues, I'd consider going to a boutique investment bank and seeing i

We sold kiko.com on ebay for $250k. If you can drum up enough coverage, it works quite well. The key is getting coverage - the more people know it's up for sale, the more people will bid.

Because it's completely and totally wrong. I work for Justin.tv, so we have our own traffic graphs. And we also have ustream's traffic graphs, because they use QuantCast. And neither of our charts have anything to do with what Alexa says. T

I have to agree. There are interesting things to say about App Engine, and this isn't one of them.

I think the most interesting consequence of this idea is the realization that the origin of the idea alters its value. Evidence that an idea is good can come in many forms, but it's rare that external evidence changes your mind unless it co

New anti-running legislation introduced in Congress to stop baneful influence on our children. Running causes horrible leg and knee problems, and people die every single year from overdosing and running to exhaustion! Running is a gateway s

He means they fund every qualified startup that applies; they have plenty of money. If 100 promising startup teams applied, they'd fund all 100 of them.

At least for me, those two were exactly the same thing. If you don't have a prototype, that should be one of the very first steps in your business. If you do, great - you have everything you need to apply.

I think that's an awesome idea. I've wanted to do much the same thing. I think putting the money out purely as a bounty will probably work fine, and if it doesn't you can always try something else instead. A few ideas I've had for plugins I

I'm currently at the top of your leaderboard after issuing nothing but buy orders for about 5 minutes. I didn't even read the charts. This confirms my opinion that chart reading is nonsense.

At Justin.tv, we give really good programmers equity and we pay them good salaries. So if you know any who are risk averse but want to work at a startup, send them our way.
