This is just plain wrong. An extremely simple scheme is allowing voters to enter an identifier of their choosing and displaying that with the votes publicly. This is both verifiable and anonymous. Any issues you can come up with this scheme

I also use Termux daily! It's really a superb tool. I only wish we could have that same experience without requiring a native app.

Termux is seriously amazing (with its quirks, of course)! Have you tried porting your test app to a web page? I'd really like to have a good TUI experience on the web.

Sure it is. I, and millions of others, use it all the time with for example Termux.

The thing with TUIs is that, using mobile native virtual keyboards, it's apparently quite impossible to make them behave in a sane way in browsers! I think the only reasonable option seems to be reimplementing one yourself, which is ma

Why is this low effort article on top here? It's absolutely not a "Best" list and lacks professionalism.

I used to use XFCE a lot, but since then, even though it sucks in its own ways quite a lot, Gnome defaults to a nicer environment nowadays and doesn't seem so resource intensive anymore.

Yeah the reason Google and OpenAI etc are silent is because their services do the same but they "aren't the bad guys" so if they shut up the crisis will pass. This of course implies that the crisis itself and persecution of M

I think the important thing here is that governments shouldn't have the right to make life hard for ordinary people with punishments like taking away access to banks and finance system etc. As for the US slapping European politicians e

But unfortunately it pretty much is, at least according to the maintainers themselves. They try to not diverge unless "necessary", and for most parts it's not necessary to them.

Incus is very nice and super featured, but suffers from a few issues, namely unintuitive/hard onboarding and bad defaults, which makes giving access to people annoying, as it requires teaching them first and that they can't just m

You know there is a difference between being polite and friendly, and kissing ass, right? We are also talking about a tool here. I don't want fluff from a tool, I want the thing I'm seeking from the tool, and in this case it'

I find the hubris of this article absolutely disheartening, and toxic, and it frankly just reinforces how Wikipedia isn't a good place, and people who shouldn't have control over it have control over it. And it isn't because

I wonder if this could be used to throttle vms, like I'd like to set something like "this vm can only use at most x% of a cpu" measured over y time.

You are completely missing the point, which is that decibels are opaque and carry hidden field specific meaning that is not possible to know from the "unit". This is not a criticism of how useful they are in calculations.

Your css is broken in that it doesn't take into account the url/menu bar on phones. Yes it's a super annoying problem. You should change the css so that the url bar is always visible, and have a separate full screen button.
