Shen (in particular its type system) is an executable Sequent Calculus system [0] written with a small portable lisp. This derives from a propositional logic system, not H-M over typed lambda calculus. [0] - http://www.shenlangua

Debugging lisp macros is like debugging anything else. You have functions that take an input and produce an output. The input is data, the output is data, and there aren't likely side effects. Use the same tools to debug macros that yo

Sorta. I'd advocate for separating the deployment story (which might be simple or might be something complicated like microservices) from the development story (needing to add :checkouts to your lein project and/or manage multiple

If you follow typical Clojure usage recommendations (avoid global state), you can often get started with a fat prototype that is trivial to slice up as your ideas become more clear. As a lone developer, I would recommend not making your nRE

That looks like a really handy feature. I'm assuming you still have macroexpand, macroexpand-1, and a macroexpand-all available? I imagine that you could implement a similar feature for tracing, and if you were careful writing the trac

I've used Bitbucket in the past. They charge per-user[1], and their pricing is significantly better free for 5 users and then once you eclipse 5 users it's $1/user up to 100 users and then $200 for unlimited users. [1] - htt

The tooling in Clojure land actually automated this (upgrade one dep, run tests, stop and back out if broken, continue otherwise). It would be neat seeing an equivalent of the lein-ancient plugin for Python, because this really is a PITA.

This is true in emacs lisp too, although the syntax for it is a bit wonky: ;; increment as a macro, anonymously (= ((macro lambda (x) `(+ 1 ,x)) 10) 11)

Part of this is that parents alone don't shoulder the burden of paying for their children's education. All taxpayers share in this. Exemptions or credits along these lines are short-sighted. You expose another issue that comes up

To be fair, not all of those chat interfaces were fake. Some are just scripts that connect to real people quickly once you interact favorably. Then they try to sell you on $50 of cam show credits.

That's from almost 3 years ago. Have you ran the attached patch to check the benchmarks with a more current release? I don't know if that's been fixed, but it probably wouldn't take much time to test out.

Difficult? I have a few lines in a namespace that grabs `git describe --tags` and a few other things and places them in a json file. This is served up internally by all http-speaking applications as `GET /_internal/build-info`. h

Some lisps have similar comprehensions. Common Lisp has `iterate` (listcomp) and arguably `loop` (listcomp). Clojure has `for` (genexp) and `(doall (for ...))` (listcomp). A very common clojure library (Plumbing) implements dictcomps via fo
