Unless I have some external requirement, I write in Clojure. I usually target Postgres as a data store (and use the excellent HoneySQL library for Clojure to do so). I've been liking the productivity of compojure-api, and I don't

My personal anecdote has been very positive. I've been running a stable 1800X on an X370-Pro overclocked to 4GHz as my desktop since the end of April. Running Fedora 25 with latest updates (currently on a 4.11.10-200.fc25.x86_64), alth

Everything requires a manual and has a list of quirks if you're doing something non-trivial or high volume. Everything has trade-offs, the only question is how much you get to know upfront.

I had a FreeRunner that I used as a daily phone for a few months (until I got a TMobile G1). It most certainly could make phone calls. IIRC, I used a Qt-based environment that was basically a PDA + a dialer. It even had a webkit-based brows

They closed my issue for a clojure style (prn "hello world") I was actually just looking into adding a hook for an automatic AST transformer so I could possibly call into Hylang.

Fedora has "just-worked" for awhile and I don't have a particularly good reason to move to Ubuntu. It's nice that Fedora doesn't patch upstream much, and I learned how to build custom RPMs about 20 years ago.

What else would you call DuckDuckGo? Easy is relative. It is relatively easy to build a search engine that can service a user's requests (possibly less useful absolutely, but within the realm of service) compared to building an electri

I can demo an alternative to Google Search in a weekend. I can throw comparatively small amounts of money to improve it (e.g. add more sites) such that it is extremely useful to find sites that I designate to have crawled (and it's not
