I would suggest that when making a window "fullscreen" to make it position (absolute|fixed) with top, left, bottom, right at zero. You'll get "Free" resizing when the browser changes size.

Has the Android emulator gotten any better? If not, this may be a must have for some Android devs

I was watching DC news last night and it was a story about the guy who shot at the White House last week. They went on about where the guy was from, possible motives, etc. The story ended with "police search the DC site of Occupy Wall Stree

the problem is that the icons don't overlap. The space between them isn't a hit target They are like [ ] [ ] [ ] When it should be [ ][ ][ ] and just center the image inside This is really cool though

From the book Woz's dad didn't like the idea of Apple until Jobs pretty much showed him that it was a viable opportunity to make a living. Woz then listened to his dad...

His complaint does seem minor as does mine for Windows, can you scroll non-active windows yet?

I miss the raw numbers of 'polygons per second.' Interesting that ps3 does 250-300, I've never read that anywhere, I guess it matters less and less over time, but it is still interesting.

I am at this point in the Steve Jobs book. Apple was considering using Windows as well. Bill Gates was furious when Apple bought NeXT, he really wanted Apple to run windows.

Sometimes I open files just for reference. Textmate/BBEdit: single click = new tab/new open document

by emehrkay 15y ago
Oh that works. I do not like that, even though I understand the logic behind it. Maybe there is a way to make single click file show the tab

For some reason on OS X Lion (Sublime v. 2136 & 2139) tabs do not show up for me unless I go to the bottom right and click Spaces: 4> Convert Tabs to spaces. Then only the current window's tab is shown. This is smooth and runs prett

To me the courier was a cool device, very confusing because some "pages" were browsers, some were note pads, some were image editors -- there were no clear boundaries, but it was still cool none the less. I feel that Steve Jobs would have w

Is that it? Only marketing? Could Apple had not made something simple that existed before? Would you mind showing us some Siri-like, grammar recognition and all, that existed before and people failed to get excited about?

No it seemed to me that they named it 360 to keep up with Sony in the eyes of customers. Sony is on its third console, so ms had to give the impression that it was too. I doubt MS feels that they'd need to do with the next gen, but I wouldn

Why would it be called the five when it would be the sixth one? The four wasn't the third one.

I couldn't find a keyboard shortcut, but you have to drag from either edge. That motion will bring up the other active windows(?) in your stack, switching you out of the app. It took me a while to figure that one out

Would this be the "safest" way to use Facebook? Lets say that my iPad had no Facebook cookies and I installed this app, signed in, switches to a browser and started browsing. Is faceebook still tracking my every move? Just curious.

This IS a great design. What isn't is the new front page with four columns; two that are actively updating content. The simplicity of the timeline looks wonderful, but man that new front page is daunting
