39 is most definitely not an impossible age for women to have to children. I know several people who did and even a couple of years older. Of course, assuming "normally" healthy adults for everything else ("normally" in

As one (very wise) commenter here on HN once said, you have to prefix “We would like you to believe that…” to the title of publications like this. “We would like you to believe that it’s time to repeal the Jones act.”

In which world is SpaceX not healthy? I mean, _seriously_. Investors are trampling over each other for the opportunity to get into their private stock buybacks. They've had a record number of launches this year and Starlink is coming o

FYI it’s cojones, not cajones. This is a typical misspelling. A cajón is a wooden drawer or box. A cojón is the singular of cojones.

Counterpoint to your anonymity argument: we’ve learned in that past few years that people are very much OK with being publicly identified with hateful ideologies/ideas, e.g. MAGA supporters. A lot of them publicly post and participate

This is a perfect example of how the “rational agents” theory breaks down. From a mathematical POV what you do is clearly irrational, yet as a human it is perfectly sensible to do what you do, spend a couple of $$, have a bit of fun and mov

Is the model code? Or just data? Because if it’s just data and the library truly only needs 200 LOC to work with that model then it’s fair to say that it is a 200 LOC only library. I can write a naive spell checker in a few dozen lines of P

There is something distasteful about this announcement but I can’t quite pinpoint it. Maybe it feels like a bait and switch announcing their own fork after the whole qemu commentary, or the wording about the code of conduct. I don’t know. O

Leveraged ETFs are what I consider “pro” level financial instruments. If you don’t trade them for a living you are probably better off not trading them at all. It’s extremely common to misunderstand how the leverage works and think that “oh

Two things: 1) Once you take VC money you probably can’t say no to an opportunity like this. It’s not entirely yours to say no anymore. Alternative is to retain control, but you don’t get the cash infusion and have to grow slower and more o
