FWIW I’ve seen space FSW instances where both std:: was allowed and forbidden. One instance was soft real-time FSW running on a customized Linux. Most (sane) C++ was allowed, exceptions were not disabled, just disallowed, std:: was allowed

I also spent most of my early life close to computers but as far as programming I only remember learning actual programming (in C) in my late teen years. It’s really hard for a 10 year old kid to really grok stuff like that. So if you are c

The problem is that there is not much to “talk” about. Do you have scientific evidence in the form of published papers in scientific journals? That is the baseline here. If anything, the problem with vaccines and why it has become politiciz

Not that bad? Those are absolutely terrible. 4% is probably close to noise level, so essentially you are a couple of percentage points faster on multicore with TWICE the total power envelope. Think about that. And almost 1/5th slower i

If I remember correctly images in PDFs can be stored full res but are then rendered to final size, which more often than not in double column research papers end up being tiny.

Fortunate Son is an incredible political song that feels eternal in message and yet it also feels deeply localized to the social environment of the US in the late 60s and early 70s. I think that duality is what makes it such a great song. P

It’s not that it is or it isn’t. The US legal system is based on precedent so if there’s little history of previous cases where this was decided then it’s very hard to know how it will go in court. Everyone loves citing precedent but nobody

It’s not the source of energy that has a cost, it’s the process of actively capturing it, conditioning it and providing it that does. Therefore, providing energy, no matter the source, always has a cost.
