You do not need referrals to go to an ER, and they will perform initial care, including x-rays and surgery if needed. If you don’t need immediate surgery they will patch you up and send you away, and that’s when you have to go see a special

“Hunter […] spent eight hours watching orientation videos on his phone. A frequent pop-up asking for a facial scan made sure he was paying attention.“ This is truly dystopian and horrifying.

If this was even remotely true we wouldn’t be living in a world full of kernel exploits and broken software, with a lot of it written in C. Writing C code is hard.

Also, the redis source itself. You know when they say “the code should be its own documentation”? Redis is a prime example of that (plus it has many good actual comments too).

The final standard document is neither a "text" document, nor do you need Perl to "read" it.

Wait, how do the logistics of this prank work? His buddy patched the plane's software on the fly (ha!) without anyone else noticing? Or he inserted some "prank" code into the main codebase, got it past what I'm sure is t

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, that sounds rough. I do know that support roles in the finance industry hit _hard_ and the difference between one person's work environment can be the complete opposite of someone else in t

You keep making these sort of statements on this thread while showing an obvious lack of knowledge about what is actually like working in the industry.

Hit the C++ books; pay for some training (there's plenty online). Then study hard for the interview. It's not rocket science to get some of these jobs.
