I’ve occasionally wondered why the responsibility to mitigate abuse can’t be pushed all the way out to edge nodes (individual ISPs and data centers) instead of relying on centralized abuse prevention. I imagine this does happen for certain

I have no doubts about front-running, but that would still mean they need suckers that have access to exchanges in order to liquidate their positions.

Who are they liquidating their positions to if they are shutting off access to exchanges? Every seller needs a buyer.

Nah that’s exactly how the alignment did occur. Spaces would be mixed with tabs to align things with 4 spaces aligning to each tab. Since I don’t like to view 3 virtuously splits I don’t like all the wasted indentation space and I view tabs

In theory I agree, but having recently worked in a code base that used tabs, it was painfully obviously that some devs displayed them as 4 spaces and some as 2 because they would visually align things for their editor’s configuration. It wa

I’m about a year in studying Mandarin and feel the same way. All the “exotic” features people say make it hard to learn, like tones and writing characters, aren’t that hard to remember and use. English let’s us have a lot of flexibility whe

These are valid points, but in non-perf benchmark terms, what is the benefit to rendering before fonts load? I have never appreciated getting to read for a couple of seconds before the screen repaints and I lose where I was and just start o

Probably not as lucrative as targeting Americans. I’ve noticed a nice side affect of living in Taiwan to be that there is generally less trash to sift through when looking for this kind of stuff. Spammers just don’t target us as much.

Lately I’ve been wondering if a niche search engine popular with hackers and not the general public could run circles around Google search results just because scammers and content farms wouldn’t be incentivized to game it like they are Goo
