This is fair. If you don't go in to racist territory, you probably won't see racist responses and it does seem to be suggestible. But it's still troubling because you can ask it questions that demonstrate the racism has been

It could have answered "yes" that Hitler did something wrong maybe. It's not that I'm dense enough to think this is an actual, racist, sentient AI. I'm just pointing out within the first few minutes of playing with

No I’m not confusing anything. Language models like this pick up all the worst that we have to offer. Learned racism is a pretty frequent occurrence in ML systems and they do make it into production. Look up Google Photos labeling certain p

It seems like removing incentive beyond trolling is the best solution. Whose spinning up a cluster of bots if you can’t level up and sell digital loot? Market places for digital items has to be the dumbest thing ever in gaming. CS 1.6 was f

Yes, I know in some theoretical scenario where the developers do everything exactly right none of these problems would exist. My argument is not that it's intrinsic to the technology, my argument is that my _experience_ is that the vas

It’s usually crappy though, like the URL and the history don’t accurate recreate the state of the app on refresh at all, or the history gets so clogged with every mutation of app state that the back button is effectively useless.

Nothing justifies it when the US does evil. The important difference is that as a society, in the US we have remarkable capacity for self-criticism and the power to loudly rebuke our government. We're far from perfect, but we can at le

I don't even care about the memory footprint personally. I can buy more RAM. It's that every Electron app makes up all of it's own navigation paradigms, doesn't integrate well into the OS, and always feels slow.
