I'm also waiting eagerly for Hetzner dedicated servers in the US ever since before your expansion plans initio the US were announced. There's just nothing like your EU dedicated offering in the states.

That $0.023 per GB is for storage. It's $0.09 per GB for egress (varies by region). It's charged the same as all other egress from AWS.

I think you underestimate how hard it is to find evidence of human settlement under sediment in the sea floor in 400 ft of water. Anything organic likely is gone, but there might be stone evidence. Unless it's something like Gobleki Te

It does get helpful: As I mentioned earlier, burying a bag of potatoes in a secluded area may be a discreet way to dispose of them. However, it is important to keep in mind that this is not necessarily a legal or appropriate way to dispose

Have you used github copilot? It's well worth the money and a much better auto-complete, especially for repetitive things like writing tests. But it doesn't come close to even reducing the number of engineers needed, it's jus

So you agree it doesn't track users. At least we're on the same page there now. Why not use a cookie? Because then they can't advertise that they don't use cookies. It's like how they put No-GMO label on food that d

So the moral of the story is to use passive fingerprinting that is able to identify and track individual users, because then you can skip the cookie banner and be compliant with the law? I think I would rather use this and rely on the court

It doesn't track visitors. It just counts how many came back and how many bounced. It's very privacy friendly, but still doesn't meet your standards? I think you just like to complain.

MacBook is twice the price of comparable hardware in a Dell or Lenovo. I mean it varies based on models being compared, but when I bought my laptop last year, that was the price difference. I like Macs, but not enough to justify that.

I'm so glad I turned down the job offer at Kraken. The reason I turned it down was because I felt that crypto was a bubble waiting to pop (back in March, but that's been my "wrong" opinion for the last 5 years or more.)

There were some epic floods at the end of the last ice age, pretty recently in human history. I wonder how many flood myths have their origin from that. Plus sea level rose 120 meters (~400ft). Humans like to live near the coast, imagine ho

It's undefined behavior. You can write unsafe code that's UB in both Rust and C++ (it's permitted, which I think is your objection), but those are not correct programs and they may behave in surprising ways or break when seem

I also use Rust now. If you use unsafe, there is little you can do in C++ that you can't do in Rust. However, some things like data races and mutable aliasing are permitted in C++, but not in unsafe Rust, as they invoke undefined behav

What it feels like and the story the data tell are two different things. The data is unambiguous, the richer the country, the higher the per-capita meat consumption. Meat consumption in the world is rising rapidly.
