What's that supposed to mean. That it can't work elsewhere. Why not?

Are you a bot? How's that connected to my question?

I have seen this work in Panama City, Panama for one where zoning is almost all high density. Apartment prices have been flat to down for nearly a decade there despite high economic and population growth.

Why are you trying to make this about race when the connection to housing prices and income seems tenuous at best?

Yes, I feel like we just get canned responses back. I'm not even sure there's a human involved in the process.

Yeah, we tried that, they just referred us back to the help page.

I tried it out. It doesn't get temps, as I expected. But it does switch down into power save mode on battery and switch back to performance on AC. Battery life has improved by over 50% from 4h to over 6h. Thanks for making this!

Thanks, I will give it a try!

On my Alienware AMD laptop, lm- sensors detects nothing. Do you think your program would help me on it? It doesn't support Linux but I'm running Ubuntu on it anyway. I have issues with screen brightness, fan speed, and battery lif

I came here too say this. The man authored in the neighborhood of 100k LOC in a year, just on this. There's a living 10x dev, it's not a myth. What is ridiculous is to think someone can 10x a normal developer, it's more like

This is hardly the most frivolous thing humanity does. It's ok if it never has any practical applications.

Well put. I'm guessing there were no consequences, other than to lower your already low opinion of the company?

There's a limit to how detailed in going to be in a comment, but when I said Palestinians here I was referring to the terrorist organization of Hamas that runs the government in Gaza. Despite how it seems to have rubbed some people the

I work 40%, so I do this, just spread over 5 days. I've also tried one week on, one off. It's heaven. I hope I don't have to go back to working full time ever again. I'm currently working and travelling without a permane

I work in tech, despite California being the center of that industry, I've resisted relocating to there every time. I don't much care for it. Tastes vary. If the housing market wasn't so fucked it might be a different story.

That makes sense to me. Are you saying you're not IO limited usually though? Some kinds of database workloads would run more efficiently on the local NVMe storage. But that does come with lots of operational considerations.

This is quite interesting. Some of the features and upcoming features look really nice. One-click database forks would be really handy. VPC peering is nice, not just for security, but also so AWS doesn't fleece you with bandwidth charg

It's late for me to edit this, but I want to add that I think this is why so many young people seem to be struggling to find themselves. We live in a world of constant distraction and you will only find yourself in the quiet. I didn&#x

It's not a void though. It's a distraction. And as much as I dislike the evils that come with alcohol (not in a religious sense, just the problems it causes), at least you get out and interact with real people.

by eloff 5y ago
You won't find yourself by seeking distraction. You need to eliminate distractions and feel the pain of boredom, which will motivate you to try things.

For me I see the controversy here and I figure it could fall either way. Maybe it works, maybe it's just another hydroxychloroquine. I'm keeping an open mind. In no way should anyone be thinking it's safer or more effective t

I'm not sure about that. High oil prices spur investment in extracting oil. In the short term it might reduce demand slightly (oil demand is quite inelastic) but long term it may have the opposite effect.

They didn't launch those kinds of raids from carriers. They used Island based airfields that had been captured/liberated. You can't launch a B29 from a carrier.

Wasn't Jericho the one where they brought down the walls by making noise in the biblical story? I wonder if that could have been inspired by finding the wreckage of the city with the East wall destroyed.
