Nothing is happening in relation to this. People still use cash and they're not going to get arrested for it. And a microwave is a ridiculous place to store anything.

It worked really well for me. It's not a scam, and it may be laughable but its reality. The fact is there are a lot of job openings for developers and these guys are taking advantage of it. A 12 week program is certainly enough to prep

I gotta say, that seems pretty ridiculous. Has that ever been done before?

Not yet an entrepreneur (I guess I started my freelance business..), but I feel there are certainly lessons to learn from working at a large company. I mean, my CEO is an entrepreneur, so it seems that even just by watching some of that per

I was in Copenhagen last month for vacation. On a Saturday night, perfect weather and everyone in the city out looking for a good time - the banking system was down. No joke, zero ATMs worked, zero CC machines worked, the entire country&#x

Sure, but it's impressive nonetheless. A 14 year old kid is building an operating system. What was I doing at 14? I was not building operating systems, thats for sure.

I think creative writing can also be a good analogy, for the reasons you state and also it seems closer to me since we are authors of the code we write. Stories can evolve, plots get interwoven and some cut, its never finished until publish

A lot of the sentiment here is why I chose to go into software development rather than psychiatry, apart from the whole money vs med school argument. Great post.

This is all small in comparison to the enormous benefits it has as a career-building tool. I have gotten numerous interviews and 2 full time jobs in no small part because of LinkedIn. If there was a viable alternative I'd jump on it, b

I have not been educated in presentation making. My experience comes entirely from watching others. I had my first presentation today, used slides.com. What makes a presentation good, or more importantly, not bad? I had no notes and tried t

I personally know many "bootcampers" that are better engineers than many CS grads, and many "front-end" engineers that are better, more knowledgable, more up to date, and in higher demand, than the some of the crusty jav

Why is there ageism in tech? Why don't companies want people that were part of the movement of personal computing? Many of the pioneers of the movement are still around, what is it about the industry that looks down upon their wisdom?

Here in Salt Lake City, Lyft already won by a long shot. Its crazy, they got here like a week or two before Uber, but their arrival seemed to just not leave any room for a competitor. Uber can rarely be found here, and if it can its always

Thanks! Here's a secret, they don't actually care if you have a CS degree or 5 years experience. You can ignore that on any job description. If you can prove that you are able to do the job, that's what they are looking for.
