These are about going to school , though, not getting a CS degree. And 100% of these things could, and probably should, be learned in the real world and not through paying tens of thousands of dollars under the guise of education. I did no

This is wonderful. I recently spun up a horizon( http://horizon.io ) project on Digital Ocean with a Vue.js front end, and it has been by far the best experience I've had with full stack javascript, ever. I really hope things

JavaScript doesn't just run in the web browser anymore. A standard library seems like an odd and annoying oversight at this point. Relevant blog post from Thomas Fuchs: https://medium.com/@thomasfuchs/what-if-we-ha

Interest? This thread is full of people saying they have no clue what this is. And I assure you, most developers don't give a damn about more recruiting software. Also, the blog posts you link to both return a 500 error, and now the li

Lots of things seem to be starting to become ok under the guise of diversity initiatives. Reminiscent of how giant corporations funding PACs and lobbying are exercising their rights to free speech.

Ok, then you need to learn the things I mentioned. It is not as hard as OP suggests. Based on your comment history, you seem more than capable of figuring this out.

As long as the people developing your site have been keeping up with things since the mobile web became a thing (several years), it should be expected that they can develop an app that functions well on just about any device that will run i

You have to tell us what is wrong first, in other words why do you think you're going wrong? There is nothing wrong with what you've described as far as I can tell. But what issues are you having? Users not going to your site? Lik

Practice sounds like exactly what OP is trying to avoid. Also, you're talking about small apps. And also, webpack is the most incomprehensible waste of time that I've ever encountered in development. No hyperbole.

I think you could still get a junior dev job, if you just do a bunch of projects, even if trivial or done before, that demonstrates you know what you're doing. If you don't know what you're doing, the projects will help you

Every after-hours bootcamp I've heard of has had awful reviews. You're missing out on the whole "immersive" part of it, which is really what matters in a lot of ways. Like how you learned Spanish a couple days a week in

My favorite comment here. People are trying to resolve too many solved problems. Life is much smoother when you're not obsessively teetering on the bleeding edge.
