Why aren't there more motorcycles in LA? If I lived there I wouldn't even own a car, just a bike. No winter!

I don't know about that. My friend tried to care for a couple Bonsai trees and they did not do too great. Researching after the fact, we discovered that some species are notoriously difficult to care for.

Yeah, Icon X, I probably should have waited for the next generation. But I suppose that can be said about any new technology being released.

The article doesn't go into details on what this training entails. Anyone from MTL know what they would be doing for those 35 hours?

I've worked on federal contracts for Canada for a few years in the past. It really doesn't surprise me that this happened. I saw failures on every level. The client (government), the PMs, the developers. It was mind-blowing how mu

I own the Samsung pair. Don't have much good to say about them except they work... for a bit. I usually can use them for an hour and then they're completely dead. They also can't hold a charge very long. If I charge mine up o

I was fully expecting that object coming out of the camera to be something like a stack of post-it notes with images printed on them. Very misleading title.

It's worth noting that nobody is saying you can't fix that problem in your dependencies. When you rely on dependencies you have to expect that not all of them will carry the same quality of code which you create yourself.

Same here. Unfortunately I think a lot of the applications and games that kids use these days aren't very enriching. For 90s kids there was a lot more exploring and learning involved with computers/technology. Now it's just m

I've studied nutrition pretty heavily in the past as it pertained to my bodybuilding. They could have used so many better ingredients. Maltodextrin is the cheapest and worst complex carb you could have put in it. It's chemically a

Soylent is so awful for you. They really capitalized on the ignorance of millenials with regard to proper nutrition. edit: Shouldn't have trigger responded, but one of my biggest gripes with Soylent is their use of maltodextrin. It

I'm very curious to see how a 5-AI team would "plan" smoke ganks. Really exciting time for technology as deep learning is moving into gaming. I'm reminded of the games played in the movie 'Her'.

Would you feel uncomfortable if the author was a woman? It is sad that in today's society men are immediately perceived as a potential threat to a child. The fear mongering is getting ridiculous.

Thinking about what exists outside the universe always makes my brain feel weird. It seems impossible for your thoughts to imagine anything because your thoughts themselves are bound by the universe itself.

An interesting spin to this question would be "What are 5 websites you once visited daily but now no longer visit?" To answer my own alternate question: Biggest one for me would be Slashdot. It was once a great site for tech news.

I try to stick to 40/40/10. That is, 40% protein, 40% carbs, 10% fat. I eat about 5 small meals a day about 3.5 hours between. Usual protein is eggs, chicken, sometimes pork/beef, and supplemented with whey. Carbs are usually
