What I've heard is that the sanctions against North Korea a (now pointless) attempt at nuclear non-proliferation (and of course because they have a communist government) - do you think that's the case or is there another reason?

No, the US is not imposing secondary sanctions on Cuba (that's where we force every other country to sanction someone we want to sanction). We do impose such sanctions on other countries such as Iran.

I agree. Texts cost less than a cent on Amazon. It looks like you're providing your platform (e.g. the UI, the scheduling software) for free and then marking up the text messages. If I was paying any amount of money for this service I&

Yes, it is true that their operational efficiency of OPEX/revenue is excellent. But you can measure operational efficiency for a lot of different variables. Their headcount/unit is awful. Their OPEX/unit is not great either,

Any plans to bring this to Excel? I would love to recommend this to folks at my company but we aren't allowed to use G-Suite.

I'm not saying Tesla isn't doing any good work. I'm just saying that it's untrue to say that they're somehow unequivocally better at manufacturing then other car companies. They simply are not - they're improvi

Ah, I mixed up quarterly and yearly vehicles numbers. So Tesla is only about half as efficient in terms of people/vehicle/year as Honda.

They're better at making profit, that doesn't make them more efficient at building cars. Tesla sells a product which is differentiated based on software and brand, leading to huge margins. Tesla also uses more labor to make it

As for planes, it's not about the weight of the bottle vs. the weight of the passenger, it's about the energy required to move the bottle vs. the environmental impact of how the bottle was made. Small amounts of weight multiplied

Tesla is not more efficient than other carmakers. Tesla has 110,000 employees and makes 366,000 cars/year. Honda has 220,000 employees and makes 5.3 million cars per year. That's 3.3 cars/employee vs. 24.1 cars/employee.

A 1 lb saving saves $2,600 in fuel costs over the life of the craft. However, an airline's break even point is a portion of that (perhaps $1,000) because the fuel costs are spread out over the life of the craft and there is an opportun
