I’m so sure because I’ve worked for news websites and personally had this happen. I’d rather not antagonize them by linking the article. But in some cases we’ve added editor's notes or addendums to provide additional context or updates

It really depends. Some people would consider it “outdated and inaccurate” to report they were arrested for some crime - even if that’s true. Should such articles be scrubbed from Google if they are causing harm? Removed from newspaper arch

Passkey is really just a type of webauthn. It doesn't necessarily have to remove any other factors. I think the primary goal is to replace single-factor passwords with it.

If you take away NFS shares without providing a better way to store and manage access controls, engineers will eventually just come up with an even worse solution. I'm skeptical you can even fix this without a culture change, but you d

Yeah that's fair. You can't necessarily draw conclusions from the fact that it hasn't outwardly progressed beyond a pilot. But my point is more that the "news hook" on this story is so weak. Announcing the pilot lau

This is a "fun" story so it gets coverage far out of proportion to the actual product announcements... which is that in 2022 they put a chip in 100,000 wheels of cheese. Presumably a trial run that didn't progress any further
