Then let's solve those problems as well? I do not think death is going away any time soon, we are not even able to extend lifetimes by a meaningful amount yet. For now, we can more meaningfully discuss a world where poeple are living f

Hmm, there would be no point at this stage as there are no positions AI is not certain to have found at least as good a move as a human.

That would be true if rent was a percentage on top of cost. But it is not, it is whatever maximum renters are willing to pay.

I think that’s an issue with the monetisation. People who needs a specific guide would be relatively small in numbers. Unless your video is watched by tens/hundreds of thousands, it is not worth making (unless for hobby). Content creat

The time tracking is never used to evaluate engineer performance. It is only for reporting purposes, how much a project was charged vs how much it costed basically. And similar reporting. The company never looks at it at an individual level

GDPR is easy when your only income is what your users pay you and you are not interested in their personal data. My company barely changed some internal documents and that was it.

How about implementing the website or app as if all users only give consent to essential cookies and show no consent UI at all?

I also do this. I have a 1:1 document for each of my reports and also each ongoing meeting that I run. The top title is always “Next meeting”. I note down discussion items there and during the meeting the title is converted to a date and un

I’m in a similar position and have a more connected approach. I always have an idea of what my direct reports are up to, and a high level understanding of what their reports are up to. I always have 3-4 discussion items ready, these are usu

I think what would be more effective is to require companies to publicly post salaries for their existing positions, once every 6 months, like: Support Executive - 30K - 45K Marketing Manager - 50K etc. It would reveal someone's salary

True, and it is probably worth it. In my late 30s, I thought I'd never enjoy a game like I used to in my teen years. Well, Factorio was easily as much as if not more enjoyable. I do not know if I'll enjoy a game this much ever aga

I am not sure but considering that policy was introduced in 2012, it probably is. Not all visa types are the same. For instance, if you are on a Tier 2 visa and happily work for the same company for 5 years (you probably would not have any

I am an immigrant in the UK. My source of information is the people I speak to in person, and on online forums. They are anecdotal, of course, but there is no shortage of horrible stories, mine own included. Examples from the top of my mind

No, it is not normal. It is one thing to restrict the number of people, another to treat them horribly once they arrive. I do not know about the US, but UK's policies are anything but normal (normal as in humane).

What happens when one of the domains they did not ban publishes some news content than demands payment from Facebook when they do not have a process in place for that? How do they take the risk?
