I don't understand if those chips are designed to function like real neurons in the brain, or just designed to run artificial neural networks (ie matrix multiplication). In the beginning it seems that they do mimick real neurons, but l

I disagree. I don't see much bragging around here. And amazing people hang here, which are often very humble.

It's important to keep a good competition between Airbus and Boeing. I hope Boeing can get up and fix their crap. (And I'm European)

You're right, you convinced me it has little real value. But it's still a fun project !

Well yes of course, that's a trade off. But for some cases it can be useful. It makes censorship impossible as there are no server that host the data.

Well the "converter" is open source so anyone could host it, you just would have to replace the domain name with your own to open existing links.

I think it's just about the same everywhere. In France you hear the same stories. I think we are just bad at estimating costs and time.

Open source is not a service. You can compare it to public domain work. They are free, as in beer, because their creator is long dead or chose to put them there. He's not gaining anything in return like companies are.

I wish it was called yamlresume.org instead of jsonresume.org. Json is not designed for humans.

It is very hard to find small and powerful Android phones nowadays. Post new phones are at least 5.5" which I consider already too big. I eventually bought an old Galaxy A5 2017, which is slow, but has a confortable small screen.

Brave mobile started letting ads go through a few months ago for me. I switched to Firefox mobile, which is not as fast / usable but at least supports ublock.

I'm scared that if the pi is down then the whole internet is down (i'm not always home with my family, so if I'm away I couldn't fix it). How do you manage failover ?

How is Valls seen in Spain? His public image in France was not amazing when he left (he was a socialist but left the party to join macron, and now you're saying he joined the right wing? )

I have Lyft and Uber on my phone. I just pick the cheapest one when I need a ride. And drivers also have Lyft and Uber. And they just pick the one that offers them the highest rates. No network effect here.

Technology being simple is not the argument here. Of course a social network has by definition a network effect, no one argued this. Uber is definitely not a social network. Maybe they plan to become one, but they are not yet.

I'm not sure this is the main cause, but it's an interesting point of view. For Amazon, their Network effect is huge because they have a huge delivery and storage facility network. The barrier to entry is huge. For Airbnb, it migh

I believe they are making a very risky bet (like VC always do, and when it pays off they get huge reward which cover the other losses). Their bet is on Uber reaching autonomous taxi service. Without this Uber stands no chance in the long te
