So basically they modified a 35MHP street sign to make it look like a 85MPH. I looked at it from a distance, and it was hard to tell between 35 and 85. So if it is hard for a human, then it seems obvious that a tesla would also fail to rec

More than this, C is from the 70s, and C++ is from the 80s. This is 50 years from now for C. So I'd say python is likely to be still here 20 years from now, given how popular it is.

Not only f strings, but any change really.. New operators, new methods on standard library objects... Python never guaranteed compatibility of new code with old interpreters.

That's not what people call backward compatibility. Backward compatibility is the ability to run old code with new interpreters. This is not broken here. What's broken is the ability to run new code on old interpreters. But this i

Did you tell her about the nature of the stone ? That sounds like a disaster to come if she doesn't know, and she learns it by going to the jeweler to clean / repair the stone.

In french, we have the word "Baie", which means berry, but is not widely used for fruits, and we also have another expression which is much more used, "Fruits rouges", literally "red fruits". I think it covers

But are those points counted in tournaments, or are they just counted to know who won the game ? So, if you have a very clear path of how to win by 1 point, or a risky way to win by 10 points, does it make sense to try the risky path ?

Do things like "best opening move", "worst handicap placement" or similar make sense if you assume perfect play ? I would think not, because when you have perfect play, you either win, lose or draw. So you just have &quo

Isn't it because subtitles are typed in live? So they have to skip words in order to convey the meaning in time.

I don't think it's hand wavey. It's just a different (simpler) model. To describe this phenomena (wet things are darker), you don't need to go into details about photons, or quantum mechanics or whatever. Geometrical opt

I would say fiction is really worth it. You can learn so much by reading classical fictional work (Tolstoï, Flaubert, or whatever) about humanity. As we say, a reader lives a thousand lives.

State here is about user data / apps. All your data and applications are on the cloud. So if you loose or break your Chromebook, just buy a new one, and all your work is already there.

Can't you track state in a "stateless" way ? For example having the job write it's progress in a file, so that if your app goes down, you can just re-read the file and know the state of your job?

If you sample from the global distribution (all men and women of earth) then samples are identically distributed. It's just a new distribution that is not gaussian, but the sum of samples will converge to a gaussian.

CLT is about the sum. In your case, the sum of heights will still converge to the normal distribution of you take the height of n random people (man or woman)
