Database is just a tool to store data, just like such tool is a filesystem. Can you explain the difference between dumping user logins from a table and just reading them from a file? How first one is a no-no and the second one is fine?

That sounds like having wrong organisation of data and then using wrong tools to do the job. Interesting article though.

If you hear long enough of something that is noise first time you hear it, eventually you will distinguish patterns if it is for example Chinese. Brain is pattern recognition machine.

There is so many ways one can contact each other without 3rd party being able to know, that it makes whole "make encryption illegal!" thing seem to be a work of terrorists. People holding office and demanding backdoors of any sort

I don't think it is common, unless you work with pretty bad code base. You simply don't ignore errors like that.

Great. I've been using it for the past few months. Documentation is terrible and there was quite a lot of breaking changes, but other than that it works... so I am okay with that.

I was not referring to document databases as a whole, just to MongoDB in particular. You can use PostgreSQL as a document database. I heard too many stories with Mongo where people were dealing with locks or broken data instead of solving t

I didn't. I tried node.js for a couple of months and it was like a breath of fresh air. But later on drowned on constant promises and never called back ;)

Problem is that even exposing Redis via tunnel is not really safe, because you never know what the client could be up to. You probably need a supervisor between the tunnel and the client that will manually approve each request to see if it
