I played Witcher 3 on Switch and it was ok. I’d prefer a better device but I was recovering from a surgery and it was great having the Witcher 3 on a handheld. It was perfectly playable.

And that is slow as hell, laggy scrolling etc. Hope the MS implementation works better.

We recently switched to Discord from Slack after trying out Teams and some other solutions. Despite the gaming community focus, Discord feels like a much better product. Maybe they should change their image or something.

The "sort of" part is fantastic: The mov-only DOOM renders approximately one frame every 7 hours, so playing this version requires somewhat increased patience.

This right here is the reason Apple fans irritate me. I love Apple devices but the quality regressed in recent years, to the point that I left most of the ecosystem. But you can not have a healthy discussion about that because some people w

I switched to Windows and been working exclusively on WSL2. It is pretty decent and I'm glad I got out of Apple ecosystem.

Macs reboot pretty often to install updates though. They force it on you too. I'm not sure if they ever go ahead and automatically restart / update. But the OS constantly nags you to update.

Note that this uses an x11 server on windows and simply setting it as the DISPLAY. It works but I found things to be slow. You can use it if you must but not a pleasant experience. Apparently the integration Microsoft is working on uses RDP

I don't blame the engineers on this but you are right on the situation. They are shipping shittier stuff every passing year. This is gotta be a management issue though. However, this trend has not reflected on their revenue negatively,

They are not acting rational in these kind of discussions. Most Apple users are deeply locked into the ecosystem. I guess it is sunk cost fallacy, now even though the cracks are clearly showing they don't want to see Apple fail in any

I guess it would not work as an MSI but would be fine as a JAR. As far as I can remember, jar is zip and zip has headers at the end of files. Making it possible to append a jar to something and disregard the first part. In this case a signe

WSL1 had / has really bad filesystem performance. Git commands would take ages on large repos as a example. WSL2 has a linux fs which is fast and a bridge to windows fs which is still slow but I just live on the linux fs. WSL2 also run

Recently switched from mac to windows (wsl2). My previous attempts (switching to linux or wsl1) all failed miserably but the wsl2 is pretty good. And I could build a PC as I wish. Weird times.

Would it be hard to make a buckling spring switch? You’d need to use a pre made spring but that does not feel like cheating :). Those switches have a fantastic feedback and sound.

This makes sense. However the implementation detail of h_0(x) could also be foo(x) + bar(x) or whatever. At the end, you have a function that returns a fixed number of bytes. I doubt any has function that we use today changes the algorithm

I haven’t seen any ads yet. Might be geographic though. Also setup asked about some tracking stuff and I said no but haven’t done any research to see how they treat it.

I tried WSL a year ago. Filesystem was slow and it was slow everywhere. WSL2 improves that by offering fast fs on linux side. The boundary is still slow. For example, if you go into /mnt/c and use git status on a large repo it wil
