On the other hand, Go’s time format and parse logic is the biggest pile of shit I’ve ever seen in an API.

I believe it used to be static provisioning, you'd set the read and limit capacity beforehand. Then obviously there is autoscaling of those but it is still steps of capacity being provisioned. They now have a dynamic provisioning schem

We basically built our first startup communicating over GTalk. Slack was not a thing. Some people were using Skype but GTalk was simple and it worked just fine.

If I delete an account yes but if I simply unsubscribe from a paid service I actually expect them to store any billing info in case I want to resubscribe. Should be a single click operation.

Yeah I don't really have a problem with the use of large spaces, was just curious about the prefix selection. > As to why specifically /64 and /80 it probably makes the internal net magic easier versus something that isn&#

That individual instance can host 300 trillion vhosts with individual IPs with a /80 block. It has more publicly adressable IP addresses than the entire ipv4 address space. That is exactly my question, is there a technical / pract

I know that even with /80 prefixes on everything we will not run out of IPv6 addresses but why do they provide such large blocks to individual instances, servers etc? Is there any practical reason? Like easier routing? Just curious.

I think SMS is an American thing at this point? Your approach definitely would work fine but I’d not have thought about SMS if you gave me a year on this issue. It is an obsolete, half forgotten thing here.

I dont think those are addressed now. I needed gpg for the first time recently. After fiddling with documentation and weird terms, approaches etc I decided it is not worth whatever it does. My time would be better spent if I learned how to

Drata has a web application where you can upload evidences of the requirements. The agent just makes it easier. If you are not comfortable, it should not be a big issue. You can choose not to install it and upload a couple screenshots of re

Because last time I tried, I spent days to have fractional scaling on 4k monitors work without screen tearing, blurring etc. And have consistent momentum scrolling on touchbar. I do not even think about these things on macOS or Windows. At

We are currently on AWS, and we have several dedicated servers on LeaseWeb that we offload computational work on. These are cheap beasts. Still, I'd not run my RDBMS on an unmanaged, non replicated dedicated server and I'd not bot

I also had everything working fine but performance is really bad when you go through rosetta. For example, discord client is still x86 and while it works without any issues, the heaviness is noticeable. Also, .NET 5 does not have an arm bui

I wonder if a hover over event would be good for UX. I think most of the current displays can detect a finger hovering over the display but not necessarily touching it. It might be a complete disaster though, just wondering how that info co

They probably would not hold onto them and also now you have a paper trail of sending CSAM to people. But if you were to alter some innocent looking photos and send them to someone, they might store those.
