Reading the comments posted on the AWS vs GCE thread, I would say trolling the competitor? It's so obvious they are not even trying to hide it.

I couldn't imagine having to fight paid software to not invade privacy like that some time ago. Things have gotten out of hand, it's a sad time. How did it come to this?

I have many Chartered Accountant friends and the sheer number of their clients (with black money) who have their asses on fire right now suggests a very different picture then the one you have. As for the labor class, I just bought vegetabl

This smog is temporary (because of the moronic cracker fun on Diwali). Delhi gets a lot of sunshine throughout. Government is subsidising all things solar. Also I meant electric vehicles, sorry mixed up both the things.

Delhi badly needs a good solar transport story yesterday. There is a big market opportunity here, I hope someone grabs it.

Well it's not just that. Just look at hollywood movies. Every portrayal of any foreign soil is just pure prejudices/ignorance/racism/american stereotype. They seem incapable of understanding any different culture at all.

This really might sound like an apologetic defence but what happens in one house in a country of more than a billion people is not "Tradition" or a "Custom". The world is bizarre. How do I know? I live here and I have ex

You could say that it's not as common a problem and could be missed. But what do you say when the push notification is not working well with the new hotness and there is no fix. You need to uninstall, restart, install until the next up

I don't know about the UI or anything but it's 2016 and iTunes still makes me re-download any firmware from start in case of any network issue. So if you are downloading a 2.5 gigs file and that screws up even once in that whole d

I am reasonably sure that all other telecoms are doing this already. Attitude towards privacy of an average Indian leans towards "don't care". We seem to think privacy in numbers or something.

Open defecation is such a big problem. There is a big government programme just for this. I hope it succeeds and rids us of this shame.

No, it's not exactly the same. The "much hyped" democracy works. Frauds are everywhere, no surprises there.

What about equipment/infrastructure/R&D/materials? If space tech is all about salaries I doubt what else isn't. If that were true wouldn't all commercial R&D move to India? It makes economical sense.

Top engineers don't get paid this low but I get your point. Do you have any evidence to support that the major cost component for space missions is the salaries being paid?

When it's a country you are talking about, you have to plan for centuries and not the next decade. Being myopic will only hurt. It's not like building toilets and launching satellites are an either/or. Besides launching satel

No idea about that. For me autocomplete works out of the box in all projects. There is also a bulb next to the file type in the bottom right corner which suggests to create a jsconfig file for you for better intellisense support. I haven&#x

Alright, I took the bait. I read through the paper and it seems it heavily depends on Vedas for some of it's arguments. So your point about not considering Vedas as credible evidence doesn't stand. The paper doesn't comment a

That's a very very misinformed opinion. This seems to be a popular theme that British made India. Somehow Britishers conquering large swaths of India gave it an identity but not for the earlier rulers. You should read the Arabic and Ch

King Bharata is as much mythology as king Arthur. The "well researched" paper is a student submission. Have you read any other research that argues for the opposite? I am on mobile, will search and link a few later.

I don't know why some people are so hell bent on denying India an identity. India as a nation has existed for a loonng time. Vedas are ancient (everybody would agree) and they refer to India (Bharat) as the nation which extends from Hi

Think of identity as neutral (not good, not bad). Add neutral to good or bad and they remain the same. Invertibility is existence of Yin for a Yang, superhero for a supervillain, north pole for a south and combining them creates a neutral.
