I don't know why it is that way for you. I switched to Firefox on mac exactly for this reason. Safari and Chrome were consuming too many resources. Firefox is nice, fast and stable (for me at least).

They really are, commerical diesel vehicles just got banned in Delhi by the supreme court. The situation is favorable to Tesla. An affordable electric vehicle could be an instant hit. Even in other cities there has been a drastic reduction

I wish you best. Really, awesome work. I deeply appreciate your efforts to challenge this gigantic problem.

It's very likely that Scala native will also be garbage collected. I don't think you will see improvements in gc pauses. JVM GCs have been tuned for years, so it will be an achievement to beat them. Aside: Shenendoah was supposed

There has to be a way to reduce costs somehow. Is there any real reason besides greed for data caps to remain low/costly? Simultaneous usage (with everybody at peak speed) is/has to be planned for (assuming most plans reset at 1

Sorry, this is really emotional topic for me. Many Indians die every year from Pakistan sponsored terrorism.

Hey, if you are scared of it, don't be. It's very easy once you actually start diving in. You are already making functional constructs all the time in your favorite languages. Don't be afraid of the nomenclature. They are jus

I don't think so. It looks like haskell.

Really, you believe all that? You should google "Hafiz Saeed" sometime. That is just one example of course and doesn't even start to sum it all up.

Man I am so glad I escaped all that. Sheer luck !

And yet it was written in Scala. That shows how little the compile times offset the goodies of using Scala.

Assuming it's really gaining momentum over Scala I won't understand why. What Kotlin has over Scala? Compile times? After coding for 1 hour I compile once to check if Intellij and I missed something. Are those 3-4 minutes too much

I have been using Scala commercially for 3 years now. Never have I come across someone who didn't like it. Java veterans almost cry with joy after using Scala. I don't know if I live in a Scala bubble but I don't believe that

It's on while charging (screen off). It shows rapidly charging and it always takes more than an hour to fully charge with supplied charger :(

I think something is broken on mine then. It takes an hour and five ten minutes to go from 15% to full from a wall charger. Are you sure it only takes 15-20 mins?

I have always been curious about Lisps but the lack of static typing turns me off. Sure you can have a type system (typed racket) but it doesn't feel organic, also then why not use any other statically typed language (haskell, scala, .

I only disagreed with his claim "Indians are least patriotic, Americans are more patriotic". I didn't say anything about the rest of the comment. I wrote a strong word because the claim was extraordinary.

I take strong exception to your extreme interpolation. You found 3 anecdotes in a country of 1.25 billion people and branded them the least patriotic bunch? I actually live here and it's far from the truth. Can you name any other count

I am sorry, I have seen two interviews by Mehdi Hasan of Al Jazeera. The bias was really really obvious. I don't buy the arguments about how good it is by some commenters here.

I guess it's a cultural thing. My sisters all went to the same schools and had mostly the same teachers. The sibling association was never a problem. If anything, it was a good feeling. They felt more connected or something.
