steel is great except for how easily it rusts. there are regions on the planet where a car shell is rotted out in 10 years. if a shell could be made from titanium you would have a long life vehicle, with environmental and economic savings.

I saw a comment saying that western democracy is a direct evolution of the roman empire and even worse when it comes to committing genocide and slavery, since there's nobody directly responsible.

wouldn't it make more sense for ai to be tasked with detecting and fuzzing for bugs instead of attempting to fix them. the cost could be balanced by requiring less payments to bug bounty schemes since the bugs would be caught before a

I think the issue is the difference between positive and negative reinforcement. positive reinforcement with money may attract tainted blood, but negative might not, unless you count blood borne diseases which predispose to suicide. Suppose

I have these brakes on a vintage massey ferguson 178 tractor. the mechanism tends to push back up the pedal when pressed, and the stopping force is weak. there is a reason mf moved abandoned the design.

I've read that penny farthings are great for bad roads though. One article mentioned they lost control and wheeled over a kerb without a murmur. you couldn't do that on a safety bicycle.
