They're pretty different actually. eBay is a website that stopped evolving, whereas Facebook is a platform that's evolving at a decent pace without signs of slowing down.

It's great that it went well, but it's a stretch to say it proves anything. It was the first (mainstream) attempt at this model, and so many people (may have) paid to ensure that it worked.

It's not the same. This is about, "what brings out the best work/commitment in people?" What you're actually talking about is presumably a perceived injustice, which might anger people if they felt it was undeserved. If we're playing poker

It's easy to get hung up on finding "the right (perfect) idea", but the highest probability for a new business to succeed is to do something that is already being done by others, who are making a living at it. Add to it, change it, inno

Why would you have to move? I'm guessing you're thinking along the lines of a funded startup, and access to capital and "deals" versus bootstrapping it yourself, but my guess is froo's startup is closer to the latter. When you bootstrap it,

"Notes" is a great idea, but storing them anywhere but locally raises the probability that they could leak, which would be disastrous for your users and possibly fatal for your startup. Good luck with the product though, neat stuff.
