When you install WireGuard client, there's "On Demand" option there that you can enable. That option has two additional settings - it can turn WireGuard only for a particular list of SSIDs, or it can _not_ turn it on for a pa

My pet theory is that the only major change is that there’s now much less of a filter over the information that reaches the populace. The regime can’t quite figure out yet how to deal with this without undermining its own legitimacy, flimsy

I’d replace OpenVPN with WireGuard at this point - WireGuard is a lot faster and the client software is pretty good. All of my Apple devices are set up to use VPN 100% of the time automatically if I’m not on home WiFi.

Especially now when there’s often talk of criminalizing political speech and protest to, ostensibly, “protect _our_ democracy”. Who’s democracy it is is never explicitly stated, but I think it’s not mine.

On what do you base your intuitions? The way I see it is either they are good universal approximators (like ANNs), and then they’re usable for everything, or they aren’t, and then they’re at best very narrow in application. I’ve yet to see

What if there is a primary cause, and brain trauma is not it? Seems pretty likely that the issue is psychological in nature, otherwise contact combat sports and eg rugby/football would show similar incidence of suicide. I can see how a

That is always the goal with unskilled immigration. It’s not a coincidence, for example, that in the US the Koch brothers and some conservative think tanks opposed closing the border as Trump was clamping down on it. They too like labor to

Yeah, the point that Obama literally executed US citizens without trial is often lost on people on this site, and on much of the "liberal" intelligentsia. They'll just say he was a "terrorist", but folks, you can&#x

The first paragraph of the article contains reasoning of why alcohol is here to stay. For better or worse it’s the only socially acceptable drug rn. And no, weed does not replace it - its effects are too different for it to make much sense

Story time: in 2000 my first manager at Microsoft had not one, but three houses on Lake Washington, a small stable of fancy sports cars, and a rather substantial boat. In 2002 he had none of those things and was bankrupt. Moral of the story
