Sure, this would be a huge disadvantage. But that is no reason not to have a discussion about it. The HN community relys heavily on analytical services, and there is a bias against privacy advocates or anything that would bring change to ho

Fair enough! But let's separate between session-specific analytics, and lifetime analytics. As a person concerned about privacy, I don't care much about "your" analytics about click-through and how long I stay on your site and what I click

Hm, still no win64 build available. I mean they don't have to promote it through their website, just put it on the ftp. Take advantage of the dev-channel for some testing. Yeah, I know, I don't need Flash ...

There is a downside: Your can already download a standalone Tor-Browser bundled with (FF portable), but it still is FF 3.6.17. After a fork, the Tor project will not invest all their resources in keeping up with an enhanced FF release sched

As an extension-developer, I'm wondering about the Aurora strategy. They move forward with nightly and beta, but I did not found anything about what Aurora would do to the user profile, or what would happen to extensions in Aurora. I guess

I tend to believe it's not a race anymore, and having a strategy is the start of the end. Google should utilize it's manpower on something visionary. I guess I wait for the time, Neal Stephenson's metaverse becomes reality. With all the e
