Really cool project! Libby is such an underrated tool for reading things for free, especially with the number of online libraries where you can sign up for free in the US.

This reminds me of the excellent "Bad Apple!!" series[0] from Junferno, who is an excellent CS video creator. Specifically "Bad Apple!! played on Windows 10 File Explorer" [0]: https://www.youtube.com/pla

The way these work is usually presenting an existing captcha to another human who doesn’t even know they’re solving the captcha. For example, sites hosting pirated content serve fake captchas as a way to make money.

I’ve ran Home Assistant on a used Mac mini for the past three years and loved every second of it. Could not recommend more, especially because it’s functionally indistinguishable from Apple HomeKit if you set up the right integrations, just

It doesn't! It's simply filling out the public version of the form, which shouldn't require authentication.

Only to prevent abuse at the moment, and hopefully, it will stay that way. The free model relies pretty heavily on donations from users, but I don't see the cost being an issue anytime soon.

Yeah I’ve had some strange instances where it ends up restarting a given prompt (this is with the API). Didn’t see the delimiter though.

The original source of the video (from a telegram channel?) has the rock floating horizontally, which would make an actual superconductor much more plausible. https://twitter.com/vasuttomas0423/status/1686423440214

Yea, I'm talking about parli. (I presume the article was generally focused on parli as the author is a relatively well-known parli debater.)

I'm a Parli debater who went to quarters at TOC this year -- our format may be handicapped, but in terms of Ks, pretty much everything Maya discussed applies directly to Parli. You may be thinking of east-coast ("lay") Parli

In the age of Covid, I think TOC is actually relatively accessible for most of the country (or anyone with internet and a laptop, at least). A large large majority of the points that allowed my partner and I to qualify for TOC this year wer

Debate is a tiny section of the high-school world. I'm a current Parli debater -- in class, we aren't taught anything even close to what you would see in rounds.

That's not entirely true. A lot of Parli is concentrated on the coasts, and most of the West Coast encourages tech debate, so most West Coast debaters end up attending "tech" tournaments. Also, most "close to home"

Many tournaments (especially on the West Coast) and their organizers enjoy and encourage kritical debate. (That's what they did in high school -- Kritical debate was born in Policy Debate, and spread to other formats, so many coaches h

I’ve got an intel nuc and a 2014/15 (not super sure) Mac mini, both running Ubuntu 20.04. Never had any issues with either, they’ve both been running Homeassistant and 15 other docker containers for a few years with no issues.
