I agree. Like others here I don't know the context, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but her first paragraph seems about as sincere and direct an apology as anyone could reasonably want. After that she talks abou

There was an interesting article in Quanta a while back on this topic. > Researchers have since determined that rogue waves probably claimed 22 supercarriers and more than 500 lives in the second half of the 20th century alone. https:&#

There are dozens of known CSME vulns -- there's a list on cvedetails [0] which itself seems to be missing some (e.g. 2019-0090/2019-0091). Plenty of these could be used by a sophisticated attacker with physical access, and some ca

Many of these criticisms can -- and indeed already have -- been extended to plenty of western democracies including the US. Chomsky and many others have been warning that corporate and political interests are infringing on the (increasingly

So it seems like it was caused by FF blocking HTML5 canvas fingerprinting. Enabling that allowed it all to load correctly. I guess I must've hit disallow without thinking when I first visited, and that response was saved even after cle

Stuff doesn't always completely break -- e.g. Google forcing new Chrome-only web standards on certain sites and making other browsers like Firefox resort to alternatives which can end up being 5x slower [0], or serving a more dated des

I'm a hobbyist, not an expert, but my impression is that many modern lens designs are heavily based on classic designs, with more corrective elements (often at least 10 total vs ~6 in many classic designs), as well as increased use of
