The whole thing makes no sense either. If it was some top secret shit, it wouldn't be carried uncovered in the open like that. I'm sure chinese satellites are probably filming all military bases 24/7 already and probably have

Pulling it out of the air isn't feasible. What about pulling it right where it's mostly produced (heavy polluting factories or electricity generators).

In Canada, many people got Pfizer as first dose and Moderna as 2nd. I'm curious to see the data on that. We also got our 2nd dose 2-4month after the first.

Yep, Apple themselves will find exploits, white hat hackers will find exploits, Project Zero or Microsoft teams will find exploits, and so will NSO or other blackhats. It is a mix of luck, skill and putting in the time. NSO has successfully

The noteworthy angle/point the podcast covers is that NSO is very likely indirectly trying to dig dirt on citizenlab people (same people the post above is from) as they regularly discover their exploits and cost them money. As Jack tal

In my experience cookie control in Chrome have always sucked. There's barebone support in dev tools but everyone time I've wanted to do anything serious, I've always relied on more powerful cookie editing extensions.

The headline is the perfect anti-Google HN-clickbait, and it is quite misleading. These people just run any ad-blocker, they mostly all block Google Analytics as a side-effect. The majority of those 58% probably don't care about GA spe

Sure but the point is that developers should have the option of rolling out their own solution if they don't need all the features Apple provides or agree with the fee. This in turn creates competition which may reduce rates all around

Honestly, I think they should've fully changed the name while at it. youtube-dl is such an antiquated name that doesn't even fit the tool anymore, as it now supports thousands of sources.

It's also absurd to me how the answer to "how can folks with whom I generally respect have reached such a significant gap in thinking?" is basically "they must be brainwashed by their Communicating Safely training".
