Source please. Find me a prominent politician that specifically called the China travel ban itself racist or xenophobic. If every politician did it, it must be easy to find a clip.

It's also worth noting that a lot of the narrative makes it sound like people called him racist for the ban, but it was mostly his use of "Kung-flu" and "china virus" that people had an issue with, not the ban itsel

The issue with the 2020 travel ban was indeed that it was for a single country only (later added Iran too), and AFAIK only included direct flights, which kinda defeats the point. You have to go all in or nothing.

As mentioned elsewhere, this is probably not testing what it thinks it is. The benchmark is doing a bunch of weird things, using timers that are not very precise, throwing away the first results, using template literals, etc. The results sh

I haven't been following this super closely but I think you're missing an entire angle of this. The copying part is just a symptom, the real issue was that 1. McDonald's forced all franchise owners to use this machine that wo

From a conceptual level, it makes sense to monetize a platform based only on the people making money. Like how game engines are generally free to use for games that make little or not money. On the more practical side, it's kinda hard

I see quite a lot of news clips, and in that case, negative ratio is almost always the result of brigading. Here's an example I ran into this week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kqEMLiE5CU Out of nowhere, 95% dislik

It maybe helped that Steam Deck, Play Date and Analogue Pocket all announced their delays recently. Goes to show that this is beyond any single company and everyone's affected equally.

People keep giving these examples as ironic reasons for removing the dislike button, but to me, every one of these examples are perfect examples of how the dislike button is used more as a meme or bullying tactic than a real signal anyways.

Isn't that a perfect example of Dislike button being used mostly as a meme or to bully / pile-on? Or do you truly believe that video was somehow literally the worst video on Youtube? In most other websites and contexts anyway, lik

I don't mind the bluntness, but you should either delete the data cancel the sub, or keep the sub and the data. I don't understand why you'd do one and not the other if you cared about the customer. And again 7 day is a bit s

I'm confused here. How does a threat of deleting your data in less than 7 days and not even canceling your billing makes you a loyal customer? That seems quite awful, miss the email and your data is gone, and you end up paying without

This is similar to the Incognito lawsuit. When you open an Incognito tab, there's clear and explicit text telling you exactly how it works and what it does/doesn't do, but now people are trying to sue because they can't
