Ubisoft claims accounts with games on it will never be up for deletion. I could see this being a bug, but could also just simply be that... the person is confused and that specific account didn't actually have a game on it? Could it be

The only slightly interesting part (which is why it's hosted on css-tricks) is not even explicitly mentioned in the article at all. It's the fact that it also uses no JS, and is all CSS based. Obviously that itself isn't craz

Especially on mobile. Worth noting that the bad score is only on Mobile, I consistently get 45-50, but on the Desktop section I get 99.

Yes, this is not new. People have abused Drive to host illegal content and spam for years. They have been silently banned and removed. The fact that you rarely hear about it shows that they actually have a fairly low false-positive rate. Th

Yeah, all cloud provides do, this isn't new. The only reason Apple's version was controversial is that they did it on your own device instead of their own server, but scanning files on cloud services is common practice.

They truly do. And it doesn't even have to be many spammers, it only really takes one person to ruin a free service. I've had plenty of personal projects I had to shut down due to some random person who just decided to hammer my s

The word "Algo" here is definitely awkward. The point is though that what matters most here is the number of parameters, as those correlate quite closely with training and inference time. Storage space is pretty trivial, but TPU c

Is there a place where we can see the raw count of samples that were sequenced in the last week and what % of them were Omicron vs Delta?

It's definitely a mix, depending on the area and the resolution. For urban places where they have 3D views and higher resolution, it's definitely planes. For a random place like this at low resolution, it's satellites.

Idk about the main network, but they do have a separate "Google-2g" network you can connect to that has degraded performance for testing purposes. Maybe they force people to use it when testing apps?

Wouldn't that just be two more parameters in the training network?

Even more than crappy laptop, please please test your application on bad/degraded networks. So many apps completely glitch and breakdown in bad network environments.

I think the confusion is that Veratisium's original video made it seem like this was the only/main way electricity travels, whereas in reality, there's two separate ways: One of them take's 1/c and the other takes c

Love the idea of Schema, but not a fan of that syntax, doesn't seem Pythonic to me, seems more like something you'd see out of Javascript word. Like looking at that very first example, I have no clue what "len" means in

Right, I was also confused by the blame on backward compatibility. You can keep things backward compatible without necessarily making it on by default. There is no reason why `formatMsgNoLookups` should the default. If it is indeed an obscu

Generally, most logging frameworks have two parts, the format string, and the parameters. A good logging library will also avoid calling str()/toString() if the log isn't emitted (for example, if it's a debug log but minimum

Indeed, but HN/reddit is happy to throw away any logic/skepticism and give in to their confirmation bias as soon as it comes to a topic like this. All it takes a single anecdotal evidence in the form of a video.
