People still run blogs. People still run their own forums. Nothing is "lost", there is just a whole lot of new things that apparently don't interest you as much. Personally, I can't really say that I miss any of the site

Your posting this on a website that is pretty much exclusively links to other websites, "hey I made this" stuff, and people talking about their hobbies. I think it went /okay/.

That's not really fair either. X Windows might be older, but neither Mac OS nor Windows had anything like this in their older versions. Some things evolved, some things didn't. O hi X Windows!

I have only used Calibre a few times, but doesn't the Kobo show up as a storage device, allowing you to drag/drop the books there? What advantage does Calibre offer purely for transferring?

He also explains why, and he raises a good point. Sexual assault covers a lot of different things, but to many if not most people it implies the worst.

Possibly, but that is not the point. The point is that RMS never said the victims were willing, which is the quote (or one of the quotes) he's being burnt for.

Claiming they were actually willing and claiming they presented themselves as actually willing are two very different things. These are very dangerous accusations you are throwing around - you might do well to stick to what he actually said

Nothing would change here. Normally, await can only appear in a method that has been marked as async. However, when you write toplevel code (code that's not wrapped in a function), you can't mark the function as async (because the

Sure, but the question is whether Youtube as a platform could survive without the ad income.

Fair enough, I misread your original comment and my reaction was to people who automatically skip ads (through some sort of adblocker). The idea was that when you have to do it manually, you'll do it less often than when it happens aut

People who skip ads are, in general, just as susceptible to them as most other people. So yes, if they are forced to listen to it, they will, in general, buy more of these products. Advertising works because it is psychology. Nothing ration

I don't remember many young video creators before Youtube. You know what Youtube runs on, right? It's not just the creators who get money from ads.
