This is pretty cool. SSH is a perfect fit for this - in common application scenarios, most time is spent waiting for the remote host. I like that is supports all of the modern ciphers (Paramiko, in particular, doesn't). It's also

Yeah but people tend to mistake containers with VMs, and you cannot do this with VMs.

Fortunately, Gentoo works fine with systemd, too. It's a nice feature of Gentoo that one can choose - ChromeOS uses Upstart and CoreOS systemd (both of them notable Gentoo derivates).

This. Containers are not ready for production, except for fault-tolerant/distributed payloads. You can't even live migrate them to another host, and CRIU is nowhere near production ready (assuming it ever will be). Everything else

Ansible can easily do this out of the box. It's agent-less, too, so you don't need to install anything on the remote host either. And if you're not using config management, it's about time and Ansible is a great place to

I actually use Ansible to build Docker containers and it works really, really well. Much nicer than Bash scripts.

RethinkDB is great. It's the first NoSQL database I've used so far which I actually liked. The query language is sane and the developers definitely know what they're doing. The realtime features are amazing and work very well

Opposite for me. After using Phabricator for a while, the GitHub issue tracker feels so primitive.

It's a fine substitute for GitHub. Both are source code and project management tools. Just because they have different user interfaces doesn't meant that they don't solve the same problem. Phabricator is much more flexible an

It's much better suited for open source projects than GitHub, not only due to the powerful issue tracker and other community features. An incomplete list of projects using it, some of them VERY large: - Blender ( https://deve
