I'm pretty sure the burden would fall on the end user. They don't have to activate those features in an environment where using them would be against the law. Having them activated at your home and failing to inform visitors wou

This happens to be a good example of how there are so many laws you likely break some all the time. California requires consent from all present who have vibrated the air while you record the air vibrations (but not with your ears and brai

Wapo is the just about fully discredited political blog of a billionaire. I welcome truth from wherever it comes. Veritas has done some great work.

I found the media director opining about not being allowed to do objective journalism and the CEO driving the narrative irregardless of evidence to be quite shocking.

Correlation is not necessarily causation. Unless they have scienced the causation it might be quite possible for people who see the world more realistically to be at greater risk for depression.

I don't trust that website. I know for a fact that their #4 issue is a bust. I tracked down the 'consensus' paper that had 97% of a few dozen climate scientists say that humans are having an impact. I don't believe in

I see in this scenario Google as more of a natural monopoly. They really only got into censoring recently. The more people they alienate the bigger the opportunities for competition. A natural monopoly has the ability to fail itself out

I find it very interesting that I can digest the same information and come to the exact opposite conclusion. Our medicine system has been socialized. If you can't afford to pay, the cost is pushed onto the rest of the population that

Are you kidding? Try taking a taxi in a city with a monopoly given to one company. I much prefer freelancers like Uber drivers. You use fear to justify violence.

That is to be expected with a government supported monopoly. Buckle up.

This isn't free market. PG&E is a gun backed government monopoly. If the free market was in play this wouldn't be an issue.

Don't forget nearly every law forcing people to comply at gunpoint is passed by a special interest group representing corporate profit motives. If there are any real investigative reporters left I bet the money trail could be followed

As a kid I was taught zebra stripes throw off the depth perception of lunging predators leading to increased survival rates. It is similar to the dazzle camouflage of old ships. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazzle_ca

Absolutely except for federal buildings. The powers not expressly given to the federal government in the constitution are reserved to the states. At worse it should be a states rights issue with each state deciding their own way.

The government not allowing FB (a legal citizen of the united states) to use encryption is a violation of FBs right to free speech, exactly as if they did it to your grandma's home server.

An all out attack on encryption is an all out attack on free speech. It is no different than using shorthand, or symbols, or a made up language to communicate.

Stealth isn't a binary. It is a completely analog range. The stealthier you are the closer you can get to a radar before detection. Even the very stealthy planes are highly visible at relatively close ranges.
