I love the ternary operator as much as anyone. But dang if it doesn't get hard to read when there is are a few, nested even. Does that operator compile to faster assembly that if I make the same logic with verbose `if` logic? Is that a

Many places don't attach the statement because it has sensitive information. Add that with "email is not secure" which we've been yelling for years (well, me since 1996). Sending it via email is risk exposure for them.

Doesn't this lead to an unstuctured data problem?

If you have a business site, the JSON-LD can be used to feed data to maps platforms. Address, hours, phone, menus.

I do quick interviews, then hire hourly for a single scoped task. Then see how they play, communication skills, code exploring all that happens on the task. Only works when candidate is not otherwise engaged, has never worked for non-coding

DNS providers and registrars seem to have a longer trust established, that reduces the risk. They are similar in that: jerks can be jerks. But one of the jerks I've trusted for 30 years and I hardly know the the other jerk.

Opened up my older clothes dryer to replace the belt. Has a two-pager schematic inside. Reminded me we used to have a TV that came with similar details.

What's a way they could get a strong data type here? Wouldn't that also require a large refactor of the code around strncpy to use the type and its functions?

Is anyone aware of any viable, or close to viable open-source options exist? That also have capacity for something like a CA statewide election?

There has got to be a way to assert that a user is human, and over some age, without having to identify which specific human that is.

What is the process to aggressively stub features? Does that mean pushing patches to Firefox and/or Ladybird and/or Servo?

There is a bunch of mundane stuff in the banking/finance world masked off by paperwork. It's not sensitive in the leaking state secrets sense it's sensitive in the risk adverse lawyers on both sides think it's sensitive.

Hi. I'm an idiot and I don't understand anything about CAD or 3D modeling. But! I want to build a machine I've dreamed up. It's got many parts, it's big? 2x1x2m. The current method is to talk to Blender experts and

50 people, $2200 each, raise under Reg-CF? Just need the 50 people. Or if they are acredited then Reg504 or 506 and a Delaware LLC.

Wrong again. The idiots here are arguing to follow default, de-facto specifications and to give users an easy accessible choice.

For SMTP tarpits you can do all kinds of fun stuff. Not just in the reply to helo. Like: always be slow to respond. Respond to each command with a temporary error. Accept everything, then pause, then error. Send back large chunks of garbage

Similar solution worked for ASP back in 1999. ASP/VBS was terrible slow at string building and Response.Write. Build it in the fast code and then output.

Yea, back in the day there was this h-box and v-box containers for the Widgets. I still think of my HTML that way, and div-soup to make them (is it soup tho?). Used to be TD soup.

Not easy. Kids can bypass very easy. Like those security-theatre apps companies use - but crappier. Then, once on a site/app like Instagram or Roblox it's a whole other layer of whitelist to manage (if possible). It's simpler

It's lossy tho. LLMs are crap at picking the "good stuff". Eg: the summary of the email covered the point about the family event but missed that the deal-terms were moving from Wyoming to Delaware.
