Personally, I can't stand XXX as a comment prefix. It is semantically null as far as I am concerned. Just looking through the comments here shows several different possible meanings: FIXME, HACK, TODO. But I've seen it alongside a

Dropbox has a word processor? My god, Google's offering is bad enough and I hate when coworkers inflict it on me. I hope nobody discovers the Dropbox one.

Yes. I used to write and sell shareware from home. If I ever did something like that again I'd rent a desk in a shared workspace.

We have showers at the office, but I can just as easily walk home and take a shower and then head back to work.

I think I could get behind a nice remote mountain cabin for working. Or a sail boat.

Nope semi-open floor plan office. A totally open floor plan would be annoying, but even when I worked in that kind of office, I still preferred to be at the office for work.

I like working from my office. I don't understand people that like working from home. Possible confounding variable: I live exactly two blocks from my office and don't have to commute. Perhaps, in actuality, people don't like

Just checked the all recent the crash reports saved on my Mac. Slack has crashed more than anything! This is especially surprising because I'm currently writing a custom crash reporter and part of that was experimenting with the builti

I agree Vancouver needs ride sharing! Although when I was there it didn't seem any more expensive for cabs than Seattle. From the downtown Hyatt to Kingsway & Commercial Dr was about $20 CAD. How far out do you live?

Except, as I quoted, the GPU experts and the other browser vendors are onboard with this. This isn't Apple going at it alone like MS did. You're reenforcing my point. Thank you for that.

Your question seems rhetorical, but here are my thoughts anyway... This is the new normal, coinciding with the death of expertise. The WebKit developers clearly are not working in a vacuum, if one bothers to read the blog post: > Our pr

I'd honestly love to see any of these gain market share. Tizen would be my preference, followed by Windows Phone (Surface Phone anyone?). It is pretty awful that we only have two real choices. If I was in charge of either Tizen or the

The 'arc4' no longer refers to RC4 on macOS/iOS and OpenBSD. On those systems 'arc4random' is playfully a bacronym for "A Replacement Call for Random". The new arc4random* implementation will now be replac

Dang, yeah the early 2008 MacBook Air (MacBookAir1,1) had an unusually short life. Looks like the late 2008 MacBook Air (the next iteration MacBookAir2,1) would have had an 8 year life. I guess the upgraded Penryn processor and NVIDIA GeFor
