I do this, and its great, but I don't think this is an ideal space to read non-fiction. I absolutely tear through fiction series on my Kindle but I'm not sure retention is great for non-fiction, educational, or technical topics. T

Can't vouch for the TVs, but I owned one of their 1080P monitors in the last 2000s/early 2010s. Upper-middle quality, very basic OSD, great customer service. Used the monitor for ~7 years before upgrading to a 4k, sold it still wo

This is already happening - there is an absolute glut of warehouse robotics companies at this point. Mostly in adding robotics to legacy warehouses. New warehouses will almost exclusively be built with automation in mind.

You literally just need a thin majority of people in a community to force through zoning changes. Maybe people actually prefer to both live in and live around SFH-style development?

Getting rid of that button (and feature) is the ultimate "we prioritized metrics-based design" over any human input or craft canary. We love old buildings because of an innate human craft and attention to detail. That button, to m

When I'm managing junior folks, I generally advise them there are three main paths: 1. Keep focusing on IC/software work. You keep growing and having larger impact, capping off with an architect type role. 2. Lean into project man

Does that same process not naturally play out as kids turn into adults? (e.g. college freshmen massive friend groups -> 10 years later only really talk / hang out with 10 or so folks)

I've heard this before - can you articulate or link the reason why? It seems like the fundamental issue is housing and accommodation were wildly mis-priced and a fairly opaque market.

Renting an entire ABNB is considered a "safe" travel option by many. E.g. you live in the city but are sick of your 4 walls, so you rent a cabin in the woods for a long weekend. I suspect whole-home ABNB bookings are through the r
