Turn off Auto-Run. Use an OS where common commands in Windows/Linux do not work. Use an OS that can not/will not run the virus code these USBs try to plant.

Not only could you that, you could also have program running on the disk drive send a text file to the printer. so you could print without the computer if you could write the small 6502 program you needed to install into the disk drive.

I did that on my PET 2001 after I added 16K of memory, since the screen was only 1K in size it was easy to rewrite the screen in assembler each time. Problem I tried do more than two frames and the fickler was too much to watch.

Where were you back when the Amiga was big? There were a few artists who could produce great pictures in different video modes, but not many. PS. Have you compared HAM-6 to HAM-8 modes?
