I don't think salty is the right word. Salt implies some kind of frustration and I don't think that's accurate here. I'd call it an honest, judgmental article.

The 10,000 hour rule does more damage than good. Guitar is a perfect example to illustrate why. a) It doesn't take 10,000 hours to be halfway decent at guitar. If all you want to do is be able to strum the chords for most popular music

You're presuming that Wheeler would have behaved exactly the way he has without the criticism that was leveled at his appointment. I'm not sure that is accurate. I do not at all regret my assumptions about Wheeler or my criticism

Framing it that way ignores that Google has always presented its rankings as fair. If they had always been up front about giving an unfair advantage to their own sites then that would have possibly changed history and opened up space for a

It shows you when the file is being edited, when it has unsaved changes, and when it's been saved. It also has a linter that shows you if there are typos. It's a full fledged IDE. It works great.

What? I live and grew up in the US and go shopping multiple times a week. Every store I go to has generic and branded products next to each other on the shelves. The only exceptions are Aldi, Trader Joe's and Costco. The first two most

If a supermarket did give favorable exposure to their generic brand products, the other companies could complain about that and it would be unfair. Usually the generics are on the shelf right next to the brand products for this very reason.

Congratulations C9. My team uses C9 literally all day every day, and I hope this only means you'll have more resources at your disposal for faster iteration. My only concern is that this could possibly mean getting rid of SSH Workspace

The reason my team uses C9 is it facilitates remote pair programming in a really nice way. That's the main purpose of it for us. It also means I can have a nice IDE running on our development server instead of on my local machine, whic

I realize this style of pricing is the new hotness and I get why it's appealing for the company providing the service, but as a developer this is really unappealing to me. The last thing I want to do is have to worry about how many API
